ART TRADE - yacira

Art trade with the lovely . Hope she likes it!
She asked for her character Yacira, a blue roan Arabian with a purple eye. After a quick stock search I found that there was absolutely no useable blue roan Arabian stock to be found. Color change time. I actually sent her a note after several frustrated efforts, asking if I could do another character, which she kindly consented to, but in the end I stuck to Yacira and this is the result.




This took me roughly four hours. The main bulk of the time was taken up by the lengthy color change. I attempt to color change several other Arabians, eventually discarding all my attempts. Finally I found one more stock image I was willing to work with, and...went to work. Seriously, check out the original in the credits!
Oh yes, and while I didn't do any background combining, the horse did get a new head, as the original stock's head was quite blurry. Fun, fun!
